Whistler Village Circuit

Moderate · 4–5 hours · Max 8 guests

Whistler Village plaza with mountain backdrop at golden hour

Our Whistler Village Circuit is the ideal introduction to AdventureRoute and the terrain surrounding the resort base. The route begins at the Village Gate Boulevard and follows a loop through Lost Lake connector trails, Rainbow Park shoreline, and the Valley Trail network before returning via the Upper Village. Your guide narrates local ecology, First Nations land history, and points out seasonal wildflower meadows along the way. The circuit covers approximately nine kilometres with 180 metres of cumulative elevation gain, making it accessible to most visitors with basic walking fitness. We schedule rest stops at three designated viewpoints overlooking Green Lake and Alta Lake. This programme runs daily from June through September and includes trail snacks and a souvenir route map. Families with children aged ten and above are welcome provided all participants can maintain a steady walking pace for four hours.

Blackcomb Glacier Route

Advanced · Full day · Max 6 guests

Expansive view across Blackcomb Glacier from alpine ridge

The Blackcomb Glacier Route is our flagship advanced programme, designed for experienced hikers who want to traverse high-alpine terrain above the permanent ice field. After a gondola-assisted ascent to the Rendezvous Lodge zone, your guide leads the group across moraine fields, glacial tarns, and exposed ridgeline sections with panoramic views of the Fitzsimmons Range. This route demands strong cardiovascular fitness, comfort on uneven scree, and the ability to hike six to eight hours at elevation above 1,800 metres. We provide crampons, ice axes, and helmets for the glacier approach sections, and conduct a mandatory equipment and self-arrest briefing before leaving the lodge. Weather windows are critical for this programme — we monitor Avalanche Canada and Whistler Blackcomb patrol reports daily and will reschedule without penalty if conditions are unsafe. Maximum group size is six to ensure close guide supervision on technical sections.

Lost Lake Trail System

Easy–Moderate · 3–4 hours · Max 10 guests

Sun-dappled Lost Lake trail through hemlock and cedar forest

Lost Lake Park sits minutes from Whistler Village yet feels worlds away from the resort bustle. Our Lost Lake Trail System programme explores the interconnected loop trails around the lake, through old-growth hemlock stands, and across wooden boardwalks above wetland ecosystems teeming with birdlife. The standard route covers seven kilometres with minimal elevation change, making it our most accessible offering for mixed-ability groups, corporate team outings, and visitors recovering from travel fatigue. Your guide shares interpretive commentary on the park's creation, the Whistler Biodiversity Project monitoring efforts, and the best seasonal swimming spots along the shoreline. We offer morning and afternoon departures from May through October, with autumn foliage departures in late September drawing photographers and nature enthusiasts. The programme includes binoculars for wildlife observation and a printed species checklist for guests who want to track their sightings.

Sea-to-Sky Viewpoint Trek

Moderate · 5–6 hours · Max 8 guests

Sea-to-Sky Highway viewpoint overlooking Howe Sound fjord

The Sea-to-Sky Viewpoint Trek takes you beyond the Whistler valley to experience the dramatic coastal fjord landscape that defines the corridor between Vancouver and the Coast Mountains. We coordinate a morning pickup in Whistler Village and drive to a trailhead along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, where your guide leads a ridge walk culminating at a viewpoint overlooking Howe Sound, the Stawamus Chief monolith, and the scattered islands of the Salish Sea. The route covers eleven kilometres with 520 metres of elevation gain through mixed conifer forest and open bluff sections. This programme pairs well with a visit to Shannon Falls or the Britannia Mine Museum if you wish to extend your corridor exploration independently afterward. We provide transportation from Whistler Village as part of the programme fee. Sturdy hiking boots and rain layers are essential — the Howe Sound microclimate generates frequent afternoon showers even when Whistler appears clear.

Garibaldi Park Approach

Moderate–Advanced · Full day · Max 8 guests

Subalpine meadow trail in Garibaldi Provincial Park with peak views

Garibaldi Provincial Park protects some of British Columbia's most iconic alpine scenery, and our Approach programme delivers a full-day guided experience to the Taylor Meadows zone without requiring an overnight backcountry permit. Starting from the Rubble Creek trailhead, your guide paces the group along the well-maintained switchback trail through old-growth forest, past the turquoise waters of Garibaldi Lake viewpoint, and into the wildflower meadows beneath the Black Tusk spire. The round-trip covers eighteen kilometres with 820 metres of elevation gain — demanding but achievable for fit hikers who regularly walk ten or more kilometres. We depart Whistler at 06:30 to maximize daylight and avoid afternoon thunderstorm risk in the alpine zone. The programme includes BC Parks day-use guidance, bear-aware safety briefing, and packed trail lunch. Trekking poles are recommended and available for rental. This route operates July through September when snow-free access to Taylor Meadows is confirmed.

Guide leading small group on winter snowshoe route through snowy forest

When none of our standard programmes fit your vision, the Private Custom Route option gives you a dedicated guide and a fully bespoke itinerary built from scratch. Private routes can incorporate elements from any of our standard programmes or venture into less-travelled terrain our guides know intimately, including Callaghan Valley, Sproatt Mountain, and the Cheakamus Lake shoreline. Pricing depends on group size, duration, equipment requirements, and transportation needs. A 30 percent deposit secures your date, with the balance due seven days before departure.
